Hands Off My Loaf!

Artisanal Sourdough Bread on St. Simons Island

Buy some bread!

Loaves are made from the simple ingredients - flour, water, and salt. Amazing what you can do with such simplicity! Sometimes I add rosemary, onion (or both!), or red pepper (🌶 ).

Loaves feed 4-6 people, depending on people, and these cost $12

I also do some pretty fancy loaves sometimes, like Hot Italian Parmesan, Roasted Garlic, Spiced Apricot, Cherry Pie, and the ever-popular Chocolate. The fancy loaves are $15

Meet Nancy

Nancy Hand is an accomplished sourdough baker who has taught the sourdough baking process since developing her classes for Auburn University in Auburn Alabama in 2013.

Nancy wants to demystify the art of sourdough and make this amazingly healthy bread accessible to everyone. Her latest class proved that a hands-on sourdough class can be taught effectively over the Internet.

Nancy's recent Breaking Bread virtual LIVE event hosted bakers from as far away as Ireland and Australia. Participants baked in real time - making connections and forging friendships kitchen to kitchen - while going from a sourdough starter to a finished loaf in one day. One day!!

Loaf lovin' in the oven! 🔥

To thaw from frozen: Take bread out of bag and allow it to thaw at room temperature

To reheat: Once loaf is fully thawed you can reheat it! Pre-heat oven to 350F, wet the loaf (spritz with water or even douse it with tap water), and place loaf in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Add butter and YUM!

To store: Let your bread breathe a little bit with a small opening in the bag to avoid condensation. Too much air will dry it out. Find the balance. Better yet, eat it!
